Sheffield Baptist Church COVID-19 UPDATE 

We continue to pray daily for all Nova Scotians and everyone across Canada and around the World touched by this illness. Nova Scotians have done a great job "flattening the curve" but there are still cases of the Novel Coronavirus Virus in Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Health Authourity continues to provide great information to protect yourself and your family. For over 170 years Sheffield Baptist Church, and it's forebearers, have rested confidently in the power and protection of our Lord and we remain committed to the work of the Gospel during these difficult days. 

We are pleased to announce that we are resuming Family Worship, beginning Sunday, September 13th 2020 at 11 AM, under strict protocols. Our small group gatherings, nursery, Sunday School and Junior Church ministries will remain suspended however. The Church Office is now open and our Pastor, Deacons and Trustees continue to monitor the evolution of the state of emergency. 

Our building capacity is limited so we ask you to register using the Eventbrite link on our home page or the email sent to you to ensure space for you and your family. Those without internet may call the Church Office at 902-441-5086 to reserve a seat. All mandatory public health rules MUST be observed during our worship time. 

-If you are feeling unwell, have any of the symptoms of COVID-19 or other illness, please attend another time

-Practice good hygiene and frequent hand-washing

-A mask MUST be worn inside the church building

-Physical-distancing MUST be maintained at all times

-Seating is limited to 50% occupancy to maintain physical distancing in the pews

-Please enter ONLY through the side/parking lot entrance

-Contact tracing will be conducted. Upon entry, please be prepared provide your name and wait for your temperature to be taken and recorded

-A kind Usher will then guide to your seat. An overflow area with video and audio feeds will be available with extra physical distance seating downstairs in the Fellowship Hall

-There will be NO congregational singing however special music will be provided occasionally. 

-There will be NO printed bulletin. A E-bulletin will be distributed online via all our platforms to help keep everyone informed. 

-Upon exit, please leave PROMPTLY using the main doors only
