SEEKING PASTOR

After more than 4 decades preaching the gospel our pastor has announced his retirement from the ministry.

We are a well-established, Bible-believing, Independent Baptist Church, looking for a Pastor who is seeking a full-time ministry opportunity. Our urban congregation ranges in age from young families to older, retired members and adherents.

We have two services each Sunday, a traditional worship service with 100 + in attendance at 11 am and a testimony and praise service at 6:30 pm; In addition to these services, we have active Nursery, Sunday School and Junior Church programmes in the morning, along with mid-week Bible Study and Prayer Meeting on Wednesday evenings.

Our Pastor should be a people-oriented individual who enjoys a culturally diverse congregation, with rich experience working in local church ministry. He will provide sound biblical preaching/teaching, administrative leadership and, when necessary, counseling to individuals and families in our church and should possess a high degree of compassion and be a strong encourager.

On working days, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the Pastor will be available in his church office or visiting our church families and newcomers to the congregation, visit the sick and shut-ins, and be effective in outreach ministry. Our Pastor should be able to provide input into current church programs, as well as have the ability to develop new ones following the vision for our church. He may also be required to attend Board and Committee Meetings if and when, deemed necessary.

Ministry of the Pastor's wife in church programs will be a welcomed asset.

We maintain a web presence with our own website, including a well followed pastor's podcast, Facebook and YouTube pages. Please have a look at www.sheffieldbaptist.com for a taste of what we about.
